This is my analysis of the poster for the horror movie "insidious" i chose to analyse this poster because this movie was very successful and as with "paranormal activity" a lot of it was to do with the advertising. after looking through this poster some things that jumped out at me were; the use of the eyes as a focal point, as the eyes are said to be "the window to the soul", the use of one main subject in the foreground to really draw the audiences eyes, dark colours which are conventional in horror movie posters and also to some extent a quote
("its not the house thats haunted") however i prefer the idea of a tag-line like the one used in the "paranormal activity" poster ("what happens when you sleep?").
